The 50th Annual South County 4th of July Parade
The Woodlands, TX
The Independence Day parade at The Woodlands was HOT… in more ways than one! Huzzah to all braved the early morning start and heat in wool uniforms to honor our Union army ancestors and all veterans. Many thanks to the 20,000+ spectators who also braved the heat to show their patriotism as we all joined together in celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States of America.
Participants from Lt. Cmdr. Edward Lea, USN, Camp 2 included PDCs Stephen Schulze and Michael Lance, PCC Harrold and Henry Henck from El Paso, CC Dan Pourreau, SVC Herb Powers, JVC Robert Riley, and Treasurer Jason Hoffman. Also marching were Sarah Emma Seelye Auxiliary #1 Vice President Lisa Riley, Arthur Porras and Ryan from the 13th US/Texas Rifles civil war reenactment group.
