Support the Memory of the Union and the Boys in Blue

Lt. Commander Edward Lea USN, Camp 2 is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your generous, tax-deductible donations directly fund our mission to keep the history of the Civil War alive in our community.

Why Your Support Matters

Of the 2 million men who served to preserve the Union, 365,000 paid the ultimate price. Today, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War stand as the congressionally chartered legal heir to the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.

By supporting Camp 2, you are directly funding historical preservation, grave marking, and educational outreach right here in Texas.

Choose Where Your Donation Goes

You can direct your contribution to any of our dedicated funds, using a credit card, PayPal or Venmo, by using the Donate button above.

  • General Fund: Supports our day-to-day operations and community educational initiatives.
  • Sarah Emma Seelye Auxiliary #1: Funds our dedicated auxiliary programs and joint heritage events.
  • Audio/Visual Fund: Helps us purchase equipment to improve our presentations, meetings, and public history displays.
  • G.A.R. Plot Preservation & Marker Fund: Helps us reach our goal to commission and install an official State Historical Marker at the Grand Army of the Republic plot (Lot G-26) in Houston’s historic Washington Cemetery. Your donation directly funds the marker campaign for the site where 10 Union veterans rest, including Sarah Emma Edmonds Seelye, one of the very few female members of the G.A.R. (Click here to see our progress and veteran honor roll).
